Upcoming SchoolTool Production Release Oct 28, 2025 22:00 - Oct 29, 2025 02:00 EDT

CNYRIC has been notified by Mindex that a SchoolTool Production Release and Upgrade is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th, beginning at 10:00 pm. During this upgrade, the SchoolTool application will be unavailable from 10:00 pm - 2:00 am.


An email notification with additional details will be sent to Student Management Contacts identified in the CNYRIC Trusted Agent Portal and to those on the CNYRIC EDS SchoolTool Upgrade Contact List. More details on features, fixes, and components are also available on the Mindex Release History website.


The CNYRIC EDS SchoolTool Support Team will send out any additional information, resources and documentation as it becomes available. Please do not hesitate to contact your primary SchoolTool Consultant or the CNYRIC Help Desk for additional assistance.

Resolved - AWS has resolved this error, all services have been restored. The CNYRIC will be closing this incident.

Update - AWS is still reporting 62 services still being impacted, ED tech companies continue to report services starting to return to normal. All CNYRIC managed Data integrations that failed due to the outage have now been run successfully. The CNYRIC will continue to monitor AWS status.

Update - The CNYRIC is seeing improvement with AWS services impacting ED Tech companies including the restoration of CNYRIC to vendor data integration connections. AWS is continuing to apply mitigations, and the CNYRIC will continue to monitor.

Update - AWS continues to add additional mitigation steps to aid the recovery of their network load balancers and are now seeing improvement in connectivity and API recovery for AWS services. However, ED tech companies are still reporting operational impacts including connectivity. The CNYRIC will continue to monitor.
