Upcoming SchoolTool Production Release Nov 25, 2025 09:03-13:03 EST

CNYRIC has been notified by Mindex that a SchoolTool Production Release and Upgrade is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25th, beginning at 10:00 pm. During this upgrade, the SchoolTool application will be unavailable from 10:00 pm - 2:00 am.


An email notification with additional details will be sent to Student Management Contacts identified in the CNYRIC Trusted Agent Portal and to those on the CNYRIC EDS SchoolTool Upgrade Contact List. More details on features, fixes, and components are also available on the Mindex Release History website.


The CNYRIC EDS SchoolTool Support Team will send out any additional information, resources and documentation as it becomes available. Please do not hesitate to contact your primary SchoolTool Consultant or the CNYRIC Help Desk for additional assistance.

SchoolTool Announcement Monthly Windows Maintenance Dec 16, 2025 09:12-13:12 EST

The CNYRIC has been notified by Mindex that they are going to schedule monthly Windows maintenance work on SchoolTool servers on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. While this is low-risk work, Mindex believes that establishing a planned and predictable schedule will help districts anticipate any downtime. This first Windows maintenance will take place tonight, Tuesday, December 16th from 10:00-11:00 pm. This maintenance work will continue in the same manner moving forward on the third Tuesday of each month. Please note: This update requires one hour of downtime.

We sincerely appreciate your cooperation as Mindex works to update the system as needed. If you have any further questions or issues, please do not hesitate to to contact your primary SchoolTool Consultant.

Cloudflare Issues
Resolved - The CNYRIC continues to see pre incident functionality on all Cloudflare services utilized by the CNYRIC. At this time, we will be closing this incident. For updates on Cloudflare, you can go the this link: www.cloudflarestatus.com

Update - Cloudflare has implemented a fix and continues to focus on restoring service post-fix. Cloudflare is mitigating several issues that remain post-deployment. The CNYRIC has seen pre incident functionality on all Cloudflare services utilized by the CNYRIC. The CNYRIC will continue to monitor Cloudflare for updates.

Update - Cloudflare Status page states: Update - We are continuing working on restoring service for application services customers. The CNYRIC has not seen any improvement in Cloudflare services and will continue to monitor.

Identified - The CNYRIC has also confirmed that Cloudflare's Web Application Firewall(WAF) services are also affected by the outage. This is affecting third parties websites that are utilizing those services. The CNYRIC.org website is affected and users are receiving a Cloudflare error while navigating to this website.

Investigating - CNYRIC is aware of a Cloudflare Global issue affecting CNYRIC hosted DNS. Status for Cloudflare is as follows:

Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which impacts multiple customers: Widespread 500 errors, Cloudflare Dashboard and API also failing. We are working to understand the full imp[act and mitigate this problem. More updates to follow.

CNYRIC will continue to investigate the impacts to our organization.
